Slovakia is the nearest neighbor of Ukraine and a relatively young member of the EU, which is willing to help Ukraine in its European aspirations. Recently, they signed a quadrilateral agreement between the NGO "Center of the Slovak-Ukrainian Partnership", Public Center of Social Assistance, the Department of Culture, Sport, Youth and Family of Uzhgorod City Council and the Department of Education of Uzhgorod City Council on cooperation and establishing scientific, social and cultural relations. One of the areas of this cooperation is provision of opportunities for free education in Slovakia for citizens of Ukraine.

The purpose of the seminar is to familiarize young people with the educational system of Slovakia and provide information about universities that offer the opportunity of free higher education for the citizens of Ukraine. Higher education is the final stage of preparation of young professionals and therefore it is very important to give young people the knowledge that will help them build modern European Ukraine.
