A student of the 11 grade of Sokyrnytsia school in Khust district won the gold medal of the Genius Olimpiad 2018, which officially ended last night and was taking place for the last 3 days at the State University of New York at Oswego, the Mukachevo.net reported.
This year the Olympiad was held in 5 disciplines, including robotics. Every year, this Olympiad brings together inventors from different countries and is one of the main inventor contests in the world.
According to the results of this year’s competition, Valentyn Frechka from Transcarpathia, who is already well-known in Ukraine, won 2 gold medals: in the "Science" discipline, as well as one the 2 special awards of the Olympiad; the other one went to Afrah Aftab from the USA .
This award includes additional prizes, including scholarship for studying at a university of the United States.
