Specialists of the Transcarpathian Customs prevented illegal import of pharmaceutical goods wih overestimated customs value into Ukraine.
The goods were moved through the customs post "Tisa" of Transcarpathian Customs by a citizen of Ukraine in a truck "RENAULT MAGNUM" with a semi-trailer "KOGEL".
According to the shipping documents submitted for the customs control by the driver, in particular CMR and invoices, 1907 kg of "L-glutamic acid" worth UAH 2,071,547.49 and 2487 kg of "L-arginine" worth UAH 4,639,608.75 UAH was beig imported across the customs border of Ukraine The seller was a company in the UK, London, and the buyer and recipient was a Ukrainian company from the city of Kharkiv.
At the same time, among the shipping documents submitted by the driver for the customs control, customs officers found export declarations of the Italian customs authorities. These documents stated that the price of the goods was UAH 4,682,183.2 less than that specified in the invoice submitted for customs control.
Given this, the customs authorities sent a request to the Italian company to confirm the export operation and receive copies of supporting documents.
The answer stated that the Italian company had sold the goods to a Slovenian company, and, according to its instructions, sent it to the recipient, that is the Ukrainian company.
Thus, the citizen of Ukraine moved across the customs border of Ukraine the goods concealed from customs control, by submitting the documents containing false information regarding the sender and value of the goods.
These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
The report on the violation of customs rules was drawn up, the goods with a total value of over 2 million hryvnias were seized until a court decision.
