An employee of the store, located in the center of Perechyn, called Perechyn district police department and reported that one of the visitors was behaving improperly.
The investigative team arrived at the scene and stopped that citizen just at the moment when he was taking a bag of food products out of supermarket.
As the police found out, in the store, the man gathered a full bag of food products, mainly different varieties of ice cream, "Raffaello" candy, tobacco products and beer, and took it all out of supermarket without paying.
Law enforcement officials identified the offender. It was a resident of Uzhgorod district.
He explained that he had no money to pay for the goods but wanted to eat very much.
This incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations with preliminary legal qualification – Part 1 of Art.186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (robbery). The goods were returned to the owner, investigation is being conducted.
