A resident of Perechyn was hiding 13 illegals at home

At present, the police are searching for him, the police department of the Transcarpathian region informed.

Officers of the Transcarpathian Office of the Internal Security Department of the National Police, together with Perechyn law enforcement officers, employees of the State Migration Service and the operative and search department of the State Border Guard Service, found 13 foreigners without documents in the house of a 46-year-old resident of Perechyn. 11 men aged 17 to 37 and 21-year-old and 28-year-old women were hiding on the second floor of the house.

At the time of the search, the 46-year-old owner of the house was absent, and his father confirmed the direct involvement of his son in hiding of the illegals. The latter is now being searched by the police.

In the course of investigative and operational measures at his place of residence, the law enforcement officers also found vehicles used for the transportation of these citizens, unregistered weapons and drugs. All that was sent for examination.

A criminal proceeding was opened over illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine. A criminal case has been opened under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The foreigners were taken to the Chop border guard detachment.
