Criminal police arrested a resident of Mukachevo, who had committed the theft of construction materials worth 14,000 UAH. The stolen goods were partially seized and returned to the victim, the investigation into this case continues.
The director of a company reported a theft to Mukachevo Police Department. The man said that unknown persons had stolen from the warehouse located on Ivan Franko street 80 packages of mineral wool, causing the company losses at almost 14,000 UAH.
After a series of search operations, officers of the Criminal Police found out that the theft had been committed by a previously convicted 25-year-old local resident. Law enforcement officers found out that at night he had climbed over the fence to the warehouse and stolen from there 80 packages of mineral wool, half of which he sold and the rest hid in the bushes. The police seized the rest of the packages and returned it to the owner.
Criminal proceeding into this incident has been initiated under Part 3 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code if Ukrain (theft coupled with breaking and entering causing significant harm to the victim). The sanction this Article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of three to six years.
