A resident of Mukachevo robbed her neighbor in his own birthday

Recently, a 62-year-old resident of Mukachevo reported to the city police that he had been robbed. During the celebration of his birthday, the money in the amount of 2000 UAH disappeared from his pocket.

Law enforcement officers found out that in the evening, during the celebration of his birthday, the man had too much to drink and decided to treat his neighbors. In the evening, the man came to visit them. While the owner was out to the store for a bottle, his wife, using helplessness of the drunk guest, took out of his pocket the money amounting to 2000 UAH. As the mother of two confessed later, she spent the stolen money on food.

The man did not notice the disappearance of the money at once. Having returned home, barely holding on to his feet, he went to bed. Only in the morning, he realized that his neighbors had robbed him. They confessed to the crime, but refused to return the money.

The police officers opened the criminal proceedings against the woman under Part 1 of Art.185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft). The offender faces punishment in the form of a fine in amount of fifty free minimum incomes, correctional labor for up to two years, or imprisonment for up to three years.
