A 40-year-old resident of Mukachevo invited a young friend to his place, and in the morning the man found out that 750 UAH had disappeared from the apartment.Of course, he suspected the recent guest, and reported this to the police.
As the police found out, this woman, a resident of Tyachiv district, is divorced, raises three young children. She would often come to Mukachevo and stay with the victim, but she had never stolen anything from the apartment owner.
The woman was waiting for a bus to Tyachiv, when she was suddenly approached by police officers and invited to go to the police station to clarify the circumstances. The woman confessed to the crime and said that she needed money to buy food for her children.
The police opened a criminal proceedings against her for committing the criminal offense under Part 1 of Art.185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft) punishable by a fine of fifty to one hundred times the minimum untaxable income, community service for a term of eighty to two hundred forty hours, correctional labor for up to two years, arrest for up to six months, or imprisonment for up to three years.
