A resident of Beregovo district was sentenced to 8 years for raping a girl

Prosecutor of the Beregovo Local Prosecutor’s Office proved the guilt of a 45-year-old resident of the village of Muzhiyevo, Beregovo district, in the rape of a 6-year-old girl (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 4 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As it was proved at the court hearing, on August 15, 2019, the accused lured the child to his home, where he committed sexual acts against her.
The man was immediately apprehended by law enforcement officers and, at the request of the prosecutor, was immediately taken into custody.
According to the results of the examination, it was confirmed by the doctors that the man was criminally sane.
Despite the denial of his guilt, on the basis of the evidence provided by the prosecutor, the panel of judges of the Vynogradiv district court found the man guilty of the criminal offense and sentenced him to 8 years in prison.
