A previously convicted resident of Mukachevo stole metal plates from other person’s yard

A resident of Mukachevo reported to the city police about the theft of 17 metal plates from her yard.

During the search operation, the offender was identified. It was a 22-year-old resident of Mukachevo who has repeatedly been held criminally liable and served his sentence in prison. He confessed to the crime and said that he had sold those plates for two hundred hryvnias which he had spent for his own needs.

According to the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Sector of Mukachevo City Police Department Yaroslav Tovkan, over the past six months, this young man has committed more than five illegal acts.

This incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations on the grounds of Part 2 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft, if repeated). This offense is punishable by arrst for up to six months, restriction of liberty for up to five years, or imprisonment for the same term.
