A Pole with a revolver failed to cross the “green corridor” at the Ukrainian-Slovak border

Yesterday (11.09.12) at the customs post "Maly Berezny" at the Ukrainian-Slovak border Chop inspectors prevented illegal import of traumatic revolver into our country by a Polish citizen.  During the inspection of foreign car interior in the side niches of the front door customs officers found a traumatic revolver "ZORAKI R1 MOD.K10 6 MM FLOBERT EKP, MADE BY ATAK ARMS LTD. FOR "KOLTER"", complete with six cartridges with markings "FLABERT".   One of the Poles immediately recognized weapon as his property and told that he had purchased it at home via the Internet in order to scare away animals when hiking in the woods. However, ha had no permits for cross-border transportation of the revolver as provided by applicable law. So, for violation of the established procedure for customs control zone "green corridor" and transportation of weapons with cartridges without permits the protocol was written on the citizen of Poland under Article 471 of Customs Code of Ukraine. Discovered traumatic revolver and ammunition was seized, informs Victoria Senhetovska, spokeswoman of Chop customs.
