A Pole’s trip finished at the checkpoint “Uzhgorod”

Recently, border guards of the "Uzhgorod" unit at the eponymous checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Slovak border confiscated a car from a Polish citizen.

The man, driving a car "Mitsubishi", came to Ukraine from Slovakia. However, while checking the driver’s identity documents and documents for the car registered in Poland, border guards decided to conduct a full identification of the vehicle, together with representatives of the customs office.

As a result of a thorough examination, they found out that the number of the car body had been forged and numbers of units had been removed by mechanical means.

The car was confiscated and estimated at over 98,000 UAH, – the press-service of the Chop border guard detachment reported.
