A playground for children, who live 20 km from the front, has been opened for Hungarian funds (PHOTOS)

This was announced by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Hungary, Lyubov Nepop

"September 9, 2017 is a day that I will remember forever.

On that day, together with Hungarian businessman Zoltan Horvat and members of the Hungarian Parliament, Attila Petnehazi, who is a member of the inter-parliamentary group of Ukrainian-Hungarian friendship, and Yaroslava Khortyani, who is also a speaker of the Ukrainian community at the Hungarian State Assembly, the Vice-President of the World Congress of Ukrainians and the President of the European Congress of Ukrainians, I visited the city of Volnovakha.

The main purpose of the visit was the opening of a modern European playground, which was built for the funds raised on the initiative of Zoltan Horvat. The playground turned out to be really nice, and most importantly, it was built where it was needed the most. After all, who, if not children, who live 20 km from the front line, need to feel that they too have the right to childhood and hapiness.

It is very good that the solemn opening took place on the day of the city, because it is the best opportunity to make such a wonderful present. But the best thing was to see the faces of the children, their genuine joy when they came to the playground. To see the joy of parents and to hear their words of gratitude. Indeed, for these people, international assistance to Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression on that day was embodied in that playground, which will remain a symbol of Europe, a symbol of Ukrainian-Hungarian friendship and support."
