The photo exhibition "In memory of Ilovaisk" was presented in the central square of Mukachevo, the Ukrinform reported. It features about 50 photos of four photographers who escaped Ilovaisk in a bloody "green corridor" from 21 to 29 August 2014.
Olena Zhivko, co-organizer of the exhibition, head of the "Volunteers" association, told about it.
"The photo exhibition "In memory of Ilovaysk" is presented in the central square of Mukachevo. It includes about 50 documentary photos by, among others, Ukrinform correspondent Markiyan Lyseiko, as well as Maxim Levin, Oleksandr Glyadelov and Maxim Dondyuk – those four photographers escaped the bloody "green corridor" during those events from 21 to 29 August 2014", – Zhivko said.
The documentary photo exhibition has already toured many cities of Ukraine, in Mukachevo the photos are displayed in the city center on the square near the town hall.
The photo exhibition was attended by many citizens with children, parents told their children about those events and shared their impressions of the photos.
The photo exhibition is part of the all-Ukrainian project "AFTER ILOVAISK", which was created by military families and active Ukrainians. The project aims to preserve the memory and rethink the tragic events in August 2014 near the city of Ilovaisk, Donetsk region.
