Pedestrian crossing point "Lubnya – Wolosate" will be opened in Transcarpathian region on the Ukrainian-Polish border. This checkpoint will be functioning from May 1 to May 5 from 8:00 to 20:00.
According to the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the temporary checkpoint can be crossed by Ukrainians with biometric passports or those who have a Schengen visa.
The "Lubnya-Wolosate" location was previously considered the most promising location on the border for a full-fledged crossing point. Currently, there is no checkpoint at the border with Poland in Transcarpathian region.
It was reported Marshal of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński and the Minister of Investment and Development Jerzy Kwiczynski are planning to take part in the opening of the temporary checkpoint. The purpose of the opening of the checkpoint is to study the potential of the tourist flow between the two border regions – Transcarpathia and Podkarpackie voivodeship.
