A new children’s book by Oleksandr Havrosh was published at the Ternopil publishing house “Navchalna Knyha Bohdan”

"Christmas Doggie" is the first Transcarpathian literary tale about Christmas. Although Transcarpathia has a rich folklore, unfortunately until now there has been no widely-known tale about this holiday.

The main events of the story occur on Christmas Eve. Symbolically, the adventures are strung on a popular Transcarpathian Christmas carol "When the bright star." As Oleksandr Havrosh told the zaholovok.com.ua, he wrote the Christmas story at Christmas of 2013. Interestingly, the author dedicated the book to "the unknown dog" who accompanied him during those holidays.

The children’s book is richly decorated with illustrations by Lilia Vasilenko. The artist tried to recreate the fabulous adventures through diverse images and most importantly – to convey the spirit of Christmas.

This is not the first collaboration of the Uzhgorod author and the Ternopil publishing house, which published previous author’s projects: a novel "Captain Alois" and "In Search of Ivan Strong."
