From 8 to 10 January, at the Monastery of the Presentation of the Lord (Capuchin brothers) at Lehotsky street, 44 (near the "Tokyo" mall), an unusual nativity scene will be held on the open stage, involving, in addition to Uzhgorod youth, live animals: lambs, a donkey, a calf, rabbits.
As explained by the abbot Father Roman Pop, with this Christmas performance, they want to recreate the special atmosphere of the two-millennium-old Christmas Eve. Because then, there were also animals in the manger with baby Jesus that warmed him with their breath.
Last year, townspeople liked the nativity scene so much that they decided to make it traditional. So this time, they again invite to enjoy the show and to sing carols together.
