A monument to the Heaven’s Hundred and a plaque to a member of “Aydar” killed in the East was unveiled in Transcarpathia

On the Day of Dignity and Freedom, in Kosivska Polyana of Rakhiv district, on the initiative of local community activists, there was the unveiling of a monument to the "Heaven’s Hundred" and a memorial plaque to Fedir Lypchak – a native of the village, who was a volunteer of the "Aydar" battalion (call sign "Hutsul") and killed on October 28, near the city of Shchastya in Luhansk.

No money from the budget was used for that. The purchase of materials, finishing and installation of the small monument was carried out by activists on a voluntary basis. At first, Pavlo Danyuk gave his own money for the monument. He received it back, after donations had been collected. And the memorial plaque to F. Lypchak was made by Valentin Korzh from Velyky Bychkiv for free.

The sculptural structure was placed in the center of the vullage, near the monument to soldiers-liberators.

The monument and the memorial plaque were unveiled accompanied by the sad song of the Euromaidan, also local school pupils recited poems about the events of the Revolution of Dignity and the heroes of the Heaven’s Hundred.

Local priests of various faiths, who consecrated the monument and conducted the memorial service, mentioned in their prayers the Heroes who gave their lives for our future – the "Zorya Rakhivshchyny" writes.
