A mobile application helps hikers in the Carpathians

Mobile application “Hiking in the Carpathians”, which will come in handy for hikers in the Ukrainian Carpathians, has been released recently. 
  
Initially, the site "Hiking in the Carpathians"  was created – with maps, routes and locations in the mountains, weather and blog. Its purpose is to gather the necessary information for tourists going to the mountains in one place. The platform has an interactive map to navigate during a hike and share information – the Varosh writes. 
Recently, mobile application with offline functionality has also been released.
It shows your location on the map (also without internet connection);
helps to find the nearest spring, place for camp, interesting territories;
determines the distance and direction to the nearest rescue posts, safe houses;
shows the direction and distance to the chosen destination,
shows the current weather forecast, allows you to post comments on the map, as well as add new objects and photos.
In a comment to the Varosh, the developer Roman Helembyuk noted that the final version of the Ukrainian Carpathians route catalog and offline tracking functionality would be available in the app at the end of February.
The app is currently available on Android.
