The miraculous icon of the Mother of God "Passion" from the temple of the village Otchenashivka in Vinnytsia region has been brought to the temple of the Carpathian saints (Pidlypnyky neighbourhood), the Mukachevo.net reported.
In 1903, the icon was painted on the Holy Mount Athos for the faithful people of the village of Otchenashivka, the Mukachevo Orthodox eparchy inform.
The priests of the diocese, in particular Uzhgorod city deanery, received the relic. They were joined by representatives of the authorities, in particular, the mayor of Uzhgorod, Bohdan Andriyiv.
After receiving the icon, the bishop together with the clergy and people prayed to the Blessed Virgin Mary in front of Her miraculous image "Passion".
After that, Bishop Theodore addressed the audience with the archpastoral speech. Then, all the people, with great reverence, bowed to the miraculous image of the Mother of God.
The icon will stay in the temple of the Carpathian saints on Rotman str., 22 until the next Tuesday, September 26, inclusive. You can see the relic daily from 8 am to 7 pm
