On the eve of the meeting between the heads of foreign ministries of Ukraine and Hungary Pavlo Klimkin and Peter Szijjarto in Milan, the first meeting between the Ambassador for Special Assignments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mykola Baltazhy and the Deputy Minister of Hungary on development of cooperation between Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg region (Hungary) and Transcarpathian region (Ukraine) Istvan Greja took place today in Budapest. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Hungary Lyubov Nepop on her Facebook page.
"It is important to develop an effective mechanism for interaction and coordination on matters of Hungary’s assistance to Transcarpathia, which will help make the process more transparent, understandable and effective for the whole region.
During the visit, they laid a wreath to the Budapest monument to the victims of the 1932-33 Holodomor in Ukraine.
PS: It was very nice when I.Greja showed the Ukrainian flag signed by the participants of the art rehabilitation under the project "Warm up the soul of a soldier", which was conducted by the Embassy in cooperation with him in the Hungarian city of Hajdúszoboszló for the combatants. I hope that there will be new signatures on this flag" – the post reads.
