This morning, at about 7:30 a.m., the police received a report that a woman found the body of her neighbor without signs of life in a house in the village of Mala Uholka, Tyachiv district.
Policemen of the Tyachiv department, experts and medics arrived at the scene where the incident took place. It was found out that at night, at about 02.00, a conflict had arisen between a 23-year-old man and his 68-year-old guest after drinking alcohol, the Uzhgorod city website informed.
As a result, the young man began to beat the pensioner with his fists, feet, and wooden stick, which turned out to be fatal for the latter.
The father, who witnessed the incident, tried to calm his son down. But, the guy ignored his attempts and injured him.
The police quickly found and detained the 23-year-old man involved in the murder of the neighbor. The young man already had criminal records. Now investigators have launched an investigation over the incident under Part 1 of Article 115 (Murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The resident of Tyachiv region faces up to fifteen years in prison, the Communications Department of the Transcarpathian Regional Police reported.
