At the international checkpoint "Chop (Tisa)", on the border with Hungary, border guards of the Chop detachment together with customs officials prevented illicit export of 470 packs of cigarettes from Ukraine.
Our countryman, driving a car "Peugeot" with Slovak license plate tried to take the tobacco products, concealed from the border and customs control, to the neighboring country. However, as a result of the analysis and risk assessment, an in-depth inspection of the car was carried out. As a result, in the design recesses of the vehicle, in particular the rear part of the right and left step rails, inspectors found 470 packs of cigarettes made in Belarus.
The tobacco products and the car were confiscated according to the law. The cost of the vehicle was almost 25,000 UAH, the value of cigarettes is being established.
