According to fire service in the city of Sobrance (Slovakia), near the border with Ukraine, on Tuesday at about eleven o’clock in the evening, on the outskirts of the city, an elite class car BMW X5 was found burning.
The flames spread from the burning car to surrounding trees and posed a threat to neighboring gardens and houses. Firefighters from Sobrance quickly localized and extinguished the fire.
According to the spokesperson of the Fire and Rescue Service of Michalovce Marian Kovacs, the cause of the fire was arson. It is unknown who set the luxury car on fire.
The fire completely destroyed the controls of the car and its interior. According to available information, the car had Czech license plates. The driver of the vehicle was not identifed.
