A “lustrator” was appointed at the Transcarpathian Prosecutor’s Office

Ruslan Bilovar was appointed to manage the internal security at the Prosecutor’s Office in 
Transcarpathia. 

The former prosecutor of Mukachevo, Uzhgorod Deputy Prosecutor Ruslan Bilovara was appointed 
to manage the internal security at the Prosecutor’s Office in Transcarpathia. 

This was informed to Zakarpattya online by a source in law enforcement. 

The publication notes that the appointment of Ruslan Bilovar as the official in charge of the internal 
security at the regional prosecutor’s office was agreed by the General Prosecutor of Ukraine. This 
means that he will be responsible for lustration at the regional prosecutor’s office. 

As you know, under the Law on lustration of power, officials who occupied senior positions at the 
time of the Yanukovych regime shall be subject to lustration. Ruslan Bilovar headed the prosecutor’s 
office in Mukachevo right during that period – in 2011-2013. That is, the person, who himself would 
have to be subject to lustration, now will be "lustrating" his colleagues.
