The customs office reported what countries coffee is imported to Transcarpathia from.
The regional center of Transcarpathia is often called the city with the aroma of coffee. Transcarpathians drink it in the morning, at lunch, in the evening, and some even two portions at once.
Authors of the Transcarpathian comic project KluniDzhordzhakluni joke: "When asked what will you have: coffee or tea? – 70% Transcarpathians answer "coffee", 30% say "no, thanks, I have already had 5 cups today."
Since the beginning of the year, according to statistics, 278 tons of coffee has been imported through checkpoints of the Transcarpathian customs office, and nearly UAH 6.4 million of customs duties has been paid. Currently, 8 Transcarpathian economic operators are engaged in the importation of this product. In seven months, they have imported to the region 272 tons of coffee from Germany, Hungary, Italy and Vietnam.
