On April 26, at 7:00 pm, a lecture on "Ukrainian light music from the 1960s to the present day. Transcarpathia page" will take place in the ILKO Gallery. After the lecture on Ukrainian light music, the performance of the theater "Lux Aeterna" will take place. The light musical performance is called "Light & Sound or on the way to the absence of Gravity".
In the second half of the twentieth century, Ukrainian artists, engineers and composers started to create complex light dynamic performances. Engineering solutions for control desks and projectors helped to create a visual image moving in time with music. Ukrainian theaters of light music, light painting, light and color music were not isolated projects, but a certain trend in the Ukrainian art of the 1960s-80s.
Artists working with light and music created their performances in Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Poltava, Uzhgorod. Some of them exist to this day, both in Ukraine and abroad.
Uzhgorod City Light and Musical Theater "Lux Aeterna" in 1982 opened its doors to the general public. In 1987, the theater moved to the building of the Regional Music Drama Theater and was renamed to the Professional Regional Light Theater "Lux Aeterna". In 1990, it received international status.
During the event, there will be the meeting with Daniel Friedman, the director and the founder of the theater.
Admission fee: 200 UAH, for students: 80 UAH.
