The fire broke out in the barn and, while everyone was sleeping, the fire spread to the garage and then to a two-story residential building. And only then the residents of the house – a couple with three children – woke up and called 101.
Due to the large area of the fire, two firefighter crews were sent to the scene – from the 8th state fire and rescue unit and the fire and rescue post of Vyshkovo. At 07:10, thanks to the joint efforts, they managed to contain the fire and thus save from destruction the neighboring house located 2 meters from the fire.
Half an hour later, at 07:40, the fire on the area of 95 sq.m. was finally extinguished. The fire destroyed the roof and second floor of the house, as well as the roof of the garage and barn.
The cause of the fire and the amount of damage are being established by law enforcement agencies, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region informed.
