Yesterday, at the checkpoint "Vylok" of the Mukachevo border guard detachment border guards prevented an attempted export of possible historic cultural values from Ukraine. In the afternoon, a car "Suzuki" arrived at the checkpoint. It was driven by a citizen of Hungary, and his compatriot born in 1949 was also there as a passenger.
During the visual inspection, based on the analysis and evaluation of risks, border guards suspected the likelihood of transportation of goods hidden from the border and customs control. Later, the vehicle was taken for a joint in-depth inspection, using special border control equipment.
During the joint inspection of the vehicle, they found in the car 6 books in a foreign language, which were more than 100 years old, and which are subject to restrictions on transportation across the state border of Ukraine. The Hungarian citizen recognized the found books as his property. He did not have any permits for these books.
As a result of the joint inspection, the protocol was drawn up. The books were seized until court decision. The assessed value will be established by experts.
