A huge catfish was caught near Transcarpathia (PHOTOS)

The giant catfish was caught at the fishing competition on the Levelek reservoir, which was taking place from 4 to 7 of April. The competition was attended by fishermen from Pecs, Kaposvár, Szeged and Nyiregyhaza.

Levelek has already gained popularity among fishermen thanks to the huge fish population. And now it only confirmed its reputation.

On Sunday, it was announced that during a 72-hour-long fishing, 22 teams caught in total 114 catfish weighing 956 kg on the 201 hectare lake.

All the caught fish were subsequently released. And the biggest catfish was caught by a team from Nyiregyhaza. Although it ranked only sixth, nobody else has ever caught such a huge catfish.
