A group of cyber-pirates who illegally were reflashing multimedia equipment was caught in Transcarpathia

Cyberpolice officers in Transcarpathian region found out that residents of Uzhgorod district were illegally decoding banned television channels. Pre-trial investigation has been launched.
In Transcarpathia, the police have stopped the activities of criminals who illegally retransmitted television channels, including those banned in Ukraine. Officers of the Department for Combating Cybercrime in Transcarpathian region found out that four residents of Uzhgorod district, aged 25 to 40 years, were making illegal profit by providing prohibited services. By interfering with the computers, the men carried out unauthorized reflashing of smart TVs and android consoles making playlists of TV channels with subsequent illegal provision of access to coded channels. The men provided their services for a fixed monthly fee.
