Yesterday, a resident of Svalyava reported to the city law enforcement officers that at 11.40, an unknown person had called on her cell phone from an unindetifiable number, introduced himself as the deputy chief of the police and reported that her son had been detained for carrying drugs for which he was facing a sentence of up to 8 years of imprisonment, and that to release him from criminal responsibility she had to transfer 16,000 UAH to an account in a commercial bank.
The woman immediately transferred this amount to the specified account. In the evening, her son contacted her and said that he was fine and he had not been detained by the police.
