A foreigner tried to enter the EU with another person’s passport (PHOTOS)

At night, an African was detained at the railway crossing point "Chop (Druzhba)".

During the document check, one of the passengers of the train "Kyiv – Vienna" submitted for the control a passport of a British citizen. However, border guards found out that the document submitted did not belong to the bearer and was used illegally. Therefore, the African was not allowed to go abroad and was detained. The offender did not have any documents on him, but said that he was a citizen of Gambia. According to his explanations, the passport he tried to use belonged to his brother, and he was going to Hungary.

At the moment, the detainee was taken to the temporary detention facility of the Chop border guard detachment. After identification, he will be brought to administrative liability under Part 1 of Article 204-1 of the CAO "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine."  In addition, the alien will be prosecuted for the criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Art. 357 of the CCU "Theft, appropriation, extortion of documents, stamps, seals, obtaining thereof by fraud or abuse of office or damage thereof".
