The Main Office of the National Police of Transcarpathia informs that on October 27, the police received a report of a car accident with victims in the village of Myrcha in Velyky Berezny district.
Officers of the investigation team and the Patrol Police response team were working at the scene. It was established that the driver of a VAZ "2110" had lost control and hit two pedestrians, a 73-year-old man and a 10-year-old girl, residents of the village of Myrcha. After the impact, the car drove off the road and keeled over. Among the passengers of the "Zhiguli", the driver’s 28-year-old wife was bruised, their 10-year-old son was not injured. All the victims were taken to the district hospital for medical care.
In addition, the police are establishing the involvement of a Hyundai driven by a 43-year-old foreigner in the accident.
According to doctors, the drivers of both vehicles were sober.
Criminal proceedings over violation of the rules of traffic safety were opened under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The cars were taken to the impound lot of the police station. The investigation continues.
