Uzhgorod markets are flooded with fragrant goods! The city residents apparently decided to take advantage of long weekend and decorate their window sills, balconies and houses with elegant carpets of flowers.
Thus, the most popular rows at the market, known among the local as "drunk market" are those with flowers. Familiar and affordable petunia and viola are the most popular – from 3 UAH per piece.
More fastidious plants, such as verbena, cost more – from 5 UAH.
And prices for so-called balcony flowers, depending on the variety, start with 40 UAH.
Whatever it is, in spite of economic turmoil and discord, thrifty Transcarpathians still grow and buy fragnant beauty. So, the summer in Uzhgorod will be flourishing!
