While driving down Vatutin street in the village of Velyki Komyaty, a 52-year-old resident ran over a young girl. The girl in a serious condition was hospitalized in the intensive care unit. The driver was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
Vynogradiv district police are establishing the circumstances of the accident that happened in the village of Velyki Komyaty yesterday, October 13, at around 4.30pm. The police was reported about an accident in which a minor girl was injured.
The investigative team found out that a 52-year-old resident of the village of Velyki Komyaty, driving a car Opel Combo on Vatutin street had run over a 13-year-old girl who was walking along the roadside. The girl with severe injuries was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
The police opened criminal proceedings over the accident, which caused the victim serious injuries, under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The driver was tested. 1.4 ppm of alcohol were found in his blood. The offender was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. All the circumstances of the car accident will be established after forensic examinations.
