A drunk deputy, during the arrest, threatened policemen

In the evening on August 20, in the village of Bilasovytsya in Volovets district, police officers stopped a VAZ-21014 with the right headlight off. However, the driver did not stop at the request of the law enforcement officers. They had to catch and block him.

The car was driven by a 55-year-old director of the regional center for assisting elderly people, who is a deputy of Volovets District Council.

The driver was obviously under intoxication. He was behaving rudely: insulting the policemen, threatening them with dismissal and physical violence. They had to restrain the drunken rowdy with handcuffs…

The driver had no driver’s license and car documents. He also refused to undergo the test to determine the degree of intoxication.

Three reports of administative violation were drawn against the offender including one for driving while being intoxicated. The final decision regarding the drunken deputy will be made in court.
