Yesterday, on October 12, investigators of Mukachevo police together with officers of the drug crime department in Transcarpathian region carried out a court-sanctioned search in the house of a local resident. According to operative information, the man was involved in the property crime committed in the territory of the regional center.
During the search, police officers found a large amount of marijuana in the apartment of the 26-year-old man from Mukachevo – the total weight was one kilogram.
The drugs were already packaged in paper rolls and plastic bags, ie ready for sale to drug addicts. All substances were seized by investigators and sent to an expert for examination.
The police detained the perpetrator under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and put him in a temporary detention facility.
This crime was classified by police investigators under Part 1 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the sanction of the article, the detainee faces imprisonment for up to eight years.
