A documentary film about the Transcarpathian Roma will be screened in Uzhgorod (Announcement)

On October 6, Thursday, the "Stanley Kubrick Cinema" invites to see the documentary of Oleksandr Balahura "Camp" (Loli Kali Shuba) (2013).

Here is a brief synopsis. "In 1991, a documentary "Widow Street", dedicated to the life of a small Roma community in Transcarpathia, was filmed at the "Ukrkinohronika" studio. The short film showed portraits of sincere and very beautiful people.   

The film "Camp (Loli Kali Shuba)" is an essay about the trips to the same places twenty years later with the hope to find some of the characters of the old film".
