Prosecutors of Transcarpathian region provides procedural control in the criminal proceeding commenced by the Financial Investigation Department of the Main Office of the SFS in Transcarpathian region over deliberate evasion of VAT and import duties payment totaling nearly 4 million hryvnia which led to actual underpayment to the state budget in a large scale.
Currently, it has been established that October 30, 2014, at the customs post "Tisa" of the Chop Customs Office, during customs control and weighing of a truck with a trailer driven by a Ukrainian, it was found out that the weight of the goods was exceeded by more than 202 kg, and more than 400 kinds of goods hidden from customs control (mobile phones, parts and accessories for mobile phones, shoes, clothes, bags, sunglasses, watches, calendars, lamps, appliances, bikes, spare parts for vehicles) in total amount of 250,000 pcs worth over 18 million hryvnia were found.
