Officers of the Chop border guard detachment and the regional office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region prevented the smuggling of another batch of tobacco products to Slovakia.
During a joint verification of the information on possible illegal activity at the border, law enforcement officers paid attention to a Hungarian, who was going to leave Ukraine to Slovakia by a car "OPEL". Given the received information, after the arrival of the car to the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", border guards initiated an in-depth inspection of it. As a results of the inspection, they found 1540 packs of "COMPLIMENT Super Slims 3", which were hidden in two specially made recesses in the car steps.
The vehicle and the cigarettes were seized. The car is estimated at 21,000 UAH, the cost of cigarettes is currently being established.
