A clerk of Mukachevo store caught a thief and called the police

Officers of Mukachevo Police Department arrested a girl that had been caught stealing by a shop clerk.

A clerk of a local women’s clothing shop called to Mukachevo police and reported a theft. The woman said that an unknown girl had taken a pair of jeans, hidden it in her bag and attempted to leave the store. The clerk stopped her and called the police.

Arriving at the scene of the crime, the police identified the thief. It was a 19-year-old girl, resident of Uzhgorod district. During the inspection of the bag, in addition to the jeans, they found a dress there. The police found out that it had been stolen from another, nearby shop.

The girl explained that she had stolen the clothes to update her wardrobe. The stolen jeans and dress were seized. Criminal proceedings over the thefts have been initiated, the investigation continues.
