Last night, at the checkpoint "Luzhanka", border guards of the Mukachevo detachment found hidden tobacco products during a joint inspection with employees of the SFS. An 18-year-old Transcarpathian, a Ukrainian citizen, tried to smuggle cigarettes. The young man arrived at the checkpoint by a car Volkswagen.
During an in-depth inspection of the car, the border guards, together with the customs officers, found 515 packs of cigarettes of different brands in the fuel tank.
The cigarettes and the car were seized from the smuggler in accordance with the prescribed procedure. The value of the cigarettes amounted to almost 15 thousand hryvnias, the vehicle was valued at 62 thousand hryvnias.
