A bureaucratized procedure for obtaining a license is an obstacle to the entry of small winemakers to the market – Robert Horvat

In order to simplify the procedure for obtaining a license by private wineries, changes to the list of permit documents should be made. The relevant bill has already been proposed by MPs for consideration in the parliament. This was reported by the People’s Deputy of Ukraine from Uzhgorod Robert Horvat is on his page on Facebook:

"After the abolition of the license for wholesale trade last year, a bureaucratized procedure for obtaining a production license remains the main obstacle to the entry of small winemakers to the market – the current legislation provides for almost 160 permits.
That is why, today, my colleagues and I have registered the draft Law "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Development of Production of Terry Wines and Natural Honey Beverages".
The bill provides for a simplified procedure for small wineries on the basis of a declarative principle. After the adoption of this legislative initiative, wine-makers producing wine from their own grapes will be able to obtain a license for production without certification."

Details of the proposals will be announced today during the presentation at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine.

Recall that the law abolishing the norm, according to which wine producers had to pay 500,000 UAH for a wholesale license, was signed in October last year.
