A bloody fight happened in Uzhgorod

A tragic incident happened in Uzhgorod on Griboyedov street, yesterday, November 16, around 3 am. 
According to the Official site of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region, the suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Infliction of grievous bodily harm that caused the death of the victim. 
"The police received from doctors a report that a man, who had been delivered from Griboyedov street, had died in an ambulance vehicle. The deceased was a 40-year resident of the regional center”, – the report reads. 
The investigative team immediately arrived at the scene. Law enforcement officers carried out priority investigative and operational activities: watched footage from surveillance cameras and interviewed witnesses. 
“As a result of the information obtained, the police determined that there had been a fight involving four people.  One of them, a 39-year-old resident of the regional center, inflicted injuries to a resident of Uzhgorod which caused his death. After having committed the crime, the man fled the scene,” – the policemen inform. 
The police detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. He is going to be notified of being suspected of the crime. 
Investigation on the grounds of Part 2 of Article 121 (intentional grievous bodily injury that caused the death of the victim) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been started. The sanction of the article provides for seven to ten years in prison.
