A batch of car spare parts was seized in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS)

A batch of car parts worth 10 million UAH imported into Ukraine outside customs control was seized in Transcarpathia 
Officers of the SFS in Transcarpathian region, under the procedural control of the Transcarpathian Prosecutor’s Office, seized a large batch of car spare parts imported into Ukraine outside the customs control and unaccounted cash in national and foreign currency. 
During the operations “Border” and “Network”, they identified an organized group of persons, who had imported into Ukraine large batches of car spare parts without paying customs duties for resale through the Internet on the territory of Ukraine. These goods were imported supposedly for the personal use of citizens in small batches, which are not subject to compulsory declaration, and were stored in a warehouse owned by one of the local entrepreneurs. 
Based on the court order, a search was conducted in the said premises and the house of one of the persons involved in the crime. As a result of the searches, they seized a batch of new car parts of well-known trademarks, internal combustion engines, license plates on a car with foreign registration, documents of financial and economic activity of the entrepreneur involved in the said crime, and records of the sale of goods without accounting, as well as 24,740 EUR, 8,392 USD and 4,240 UAH in cash, a video recorder and computer equipment. 
The seized goods with an estimated cost of UAH 10 million were put in a storage facility.
