A 73-year resident of Beregovo prevented a theft

Late in the evening a 73-year-old resident of Beregovo called to the local police department. He said that he was witnessing as in his yard an unknown person was trying to commit theft by breaking a padlock in the annex.
The investigative team of Beregovo police immediately went to the scene. In a few minutes the police arrested a 49-year-old resident of Beregovo. He was holding things that he had already taken from the household, namely: 9 ducks, hand saw, dishes and some household tools. Physical evidence were seized. Now the question of criminal prosecution under Part 3 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft) punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to six years is being considered – reported the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.
