The police received the report about the disappearance of a 6-year-old boy in Irshava district yesterday, July 23, in the morning. His mother said that she and her son had gone to the other end of the village of Zarichchya. When the woman was distracted for a while, she noticed the absence of the child, started searching for him herself, and later called the police.
Officers of juvenile prevention, criminal police and the investigative team of the Irshava departemnt were immediately sent to search for the child. Police interviewed neighbors, fellow villagers, checked the area adjacent to the place where the boy had disappeared.
As a result of urgent search operations, the 6-year-old boy was found on the other end of the village. The child got there on foot, having got lost.
The child was taken home by policemen. The boy’s health and life are not in danger.
A report of administrative offense was drawn up against the mother for child neglect according to Art. 184 of the Code on Administrative Offenses, the communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police reported.
