A 100-kilogram bomb was found near Uzhgorod (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Near the border with Ukraine, not far from Uzhgorod, a Slovak farmer from the village of Maťovské Vojkovice found a dangerous object in his garden. This was reported by the Slovak news site Noviny.sk.

It was a one hundred kilogram bomb of the Second World War period. Police and engineers could not disarm the bomb on the spot and took it to a safer place.

The specialists found out that it was a 100-kilogram Soviet Union bomb from the Second World War period. For safety reasons, they decided not to blow it up on the spot. It was in the field, close to the border with Ukraine. "If it had been destroyed on the spot, the shrapnel would have damaged some buildings in the territory of Ukraine," – the police of the Slovak Republic reported.
