Forty-five billion forints will be spent over the two years on the program of development of 10 Transcarpathian cultural institutions. At the press conference in Budapest, the Commissioner for the Minister István Greja and five representatives of various cultural institutions of Hungary, including two immigrants from Transcarpathia – violinist Istvan Pal and actor and director Attila Vidnyansky – talked about the implementation of cultural projects and activities planned to be held in Transcarpathia. 10 projects, two years (2019-2020), two and a half billion forints – the Hungarians are implementing a cultural program in Transcarpathia.
Representatives of the mass media were told about it at a press conference in Budapest. The operetta theater, the opera house, the philharmonic society, the National Theater, the national folk ensemble – the managers of five artistic institutions of Hungary, including two natives of Transcarpathia, are taking part in the program to introduce Transcarpathians to Hungarian culture in different genres. The reconstruction of two facilities – in Peterfolvo and Shalanky in Vynogradiv district – has already begun. Repairs of 8 more houses of culture in the Hungarian-speaking settlements of Transcarpathia are planned.
